These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the use of the website ColdCaseNexus.com (hereinafter "Platform") and all associated services and content. Operator and controller is Turmitus.Tech, c/o orientas.digital, St. Niklausstrasse 8, CH-3425 Koppigen, Switzerland (hereinafter "Provider").
By using the Platform, you agree to these GTC.
The Provider offers a platform that bundles information, multimedia content and community functions related to unsolved criminal cases (Cold Cases).
Use of the Platform is generally free of charge. For certain advanced functions (Research Module, B2B services) a fee may apply in the future (see § 5).
Registration is required to use community functions (ratings, comments). You commit to providing truthful information and keeping your access data confidential.
You can post content (e.g., comments, ratings) on the Platform.
By posting, you guarantee that you have all necessary rights to the content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights (in particular copyright, personality and data protection rights). In particular, it is prohibited to spread false factual claims or accuse persons of unproven crimes.
The Provider reserves the right to delete or moderate content if it violates these GTC, public morals or applicable laws.
The Platform uses a two-tier rating system (Seriousness "S" and Relevance "R"). These values are calculated algorithmically. The Provider reserves the right to change the algorithms and weightings. There is no entitlement to a specific rating.
The content provided by the Provider on the Platform (texts, graphics, logos) is protected by copyright. Reproduction or use outside the Platform requires the prior written consent of the Provider.
By posting content, you grant the Provider a simple, spatially and temporally unlimited right to store, reproduce and make publicly available this content on the Platform.
For paid services (e.g., Research Module, B2B licenses), the prices and special contract terms valid at the time of contract conclusion apply.
A right of withdrawal exists according to statutory provisions.
The Provider is fully liable for intent and gross negligence as well as in cases of injury to life, body or health.
For ordinary negligence, the Provider is only liable in case of breach of a material contractual obligation (cardinal duty). In this case, liability is limited to the typically foreseeable damage.
Liability for third-party content that is merely linked to or embedded is excluded. The Provider has no control over this content.
The Provider does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information provided. The Platform serves to collect and discuss information, not for legally binding investigation.

We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Place of performance and jurisdiction for all disputes arising from these GTC is the registered office of the Provider, provided you are a merchant, legal entity under public law or public special fund.
Should any provision of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
